Ob\u010dina Murter-Kornati le\u017ei na samem robu Kornatskega oto\u010dja in je zato privla\u010dna tako za navtike, kot tudi za vse ljubiteljem mirnega oddiha. Otoki Narodnega parka Kornati so v lastni\u0161tvu ob\u010danov Murterja.<\/p>\n

Je najve\u010dja oto\u0161ka ob\u010dina na Mediteranu. V njo spada ve\u010d kot 160 otokov, vklju\u010dno s Kornati, in obsega obalo, dolgo ca. 400 km. Oto\u010dna skupina ob\u010dine je razporejena vzporedno z obalo vse od \u0160ibenika do Zadra. Otok Murter je spojen s kopnim s 30 m dolgim dvi\u017enim mostom.\u00a0Cestna oddaljenost od \u0160ibenika je 30 km, od Zadra 65 km in od Splita 105 km. V Zadru in Splitu sta dve najbli\u017eji letali\u0161\u010di.<\/p>\n

Podro\u010dje ob\u010dine je v pasu mediteranske klime, kar pomeni topla in suha poletja ter blage in vla\u017ene zime. Najtoplej\u0161i mesec je avgust s povpre\u010dno temperaturo 24,7\u00b0C, najhladnej\u0161i pa je januar s povpre\u010dno temperaturo 6,3\u00b0C. Povpre\u010dna temperatura morja poleti je 23,7\u00b0C.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Murter je obkro\u017een s pe\u0161\u010denimi pla\u017eami, le\u017ee\u010dimi v prekrasnih devi\u0161kih zalivih, ki jih obkro\u017ea kristalno \u010disto morje. Za\u010detki turizma na Murterju segajo v trideseta leta prej\u0161njega stoletja, ko bila je v zalivu Slanica zgrajena \u010de\u0161ka vila.<\/p>\n

Zaradi atraktivnosti svojega polo\u017eaja, burne preteklosti in velikega akvatorija je Murter eden od najposebnej\u0161ih hrva\u0161kih otokov.<\/p>\n

Zgodovina Murterja in Kornatov sega v 1. stoletje n.\u0161., ko je na tem podro\u010dju stalo anti\u010dno mesto Colentum. Ostanki tega mesta, ki ga je \u017ee ve\u010dji del pokrilo morje, le\u017ei v podno\u017eju hriba Gradine, na severni strani zaliva Hramine. V 6. stoletju je bizantinski cesar Justinijan zgradil trdnjavo na otoku Kornatu nad poljem Tarac. V 9. stoletju to oto\u010dno skupino naselijo Slovani. Naselje Murter se prvi\u010d pojavlja v zgodovini leta 1298, kot Villa Magna. Naselje obsega 36 hi\u0161 in 203 stanovalce, ki \u017ee ima svojo \u017eupnijo. Leta 1515 dobi otok Kornat hrva\u0161ko ime \u2013 Stomorin otok.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n

Stanovalci Murterja v obdobju od 1859 do 1890 leta odkupujejo kornatske otoke.<\/p>\n

Pod vplivom Hrva\u0161kega narodnega preporoda se v Murterju v drugi polovici devetnajstega stoletja odpre Narodna \u010ditalnica, v pri\u010detku dvajsetega stoletja pa je izgrajena moderna oljarna, v kateri se proizvaja visokokvalitetno olivno olje, dokaz za to pa je zlata medalja za kvaliteto, osvojena na veliki mednarodni razstavi olja v Eixo v Franciji.
V istem obdobju se je na Murterju kot ena od osnovnih dejavnosti za\u010del razvijati turizem.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n

Na koncu prej\u0161njega stoletja je bilo podro\u010dje Kornatov progla\u0161eno za Narodni park.<\/p>\n
